Sherri Coffey
I’m Sherri Coffey and I’m the owner of Kids Care Academy. I have my MBA in Business from Purdue University and a CDA specializing in infants. I have 5 children with my husband of 30 years. I have been in the childcare industry for over 25 years and look forward to KCA’s growth and success.

Ellen – Director
ButtonHi! My name is Ellen. I’m currently the Director of our Jeffersonville location. I have been with Kids Care Academy since 2012. I am married and have a Pre-School aged daughter. I graduated from Ivy Tech with an Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood and also hold a Bachelor’s degree from IUS. I will receive my Master’s in clinical mental health counseling in April.

Emily – Assistant Director
ButtonI’m Emily, an Assistant Director at the Jeffersonville location. I have been with Kids Care Academy since 2014. I have eleven years of experience teaching young children. My background includes directing children’s ministries at a local church and previously working at another licensed center. I just completed my Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education. I am married and currently a foster mom.

Dianna – Assistant Director
ButtonHi, I’m Dianna and I am an Assistant Director at the Jeffersonville location. After enrolling my daughter, I was hired in 2017 as an Assistant Teacher and have moved up from there. I specialize in Preschool/Pre-K aged children and I received my CDA in 2020.

Kenyota – Director
ButtonHello, I am Kenyota Coleman I am Director of the New Albany location. I have been with KCA since 2016 and have almost 10 years of childcare experience. I have a CDA specializing in preschool and I’m currently working on an Associate’s degree in early childhood education. I started off as a pre-K teacher and over time worked my way up to Director. I have three young boys and I am excited to see what the future holds!

Brittney – Co-Director
ButtonI am Brittney White and I and the co-director at the New Albany location. This year I will be starting my third year with KCA. I started as a lead teacher with toddlers. Before I began working at KCA, I was a stay-at-home mom for 17 years and homeschooled my children for seven years. My husband and I have four children and I am currently working on my Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education at IUS.

Shamonte – Assistant Director
ButtonHi, my name is Shamonte Hobbs and I am the Assistant Director at the New Albany location. I have worked at KCA for 3 years now and have worked in every classroom. I was a hairdresser for three years before switching professions and am now working to get my CDA. I am a fast learner and I am looking forward to growing my career at KCA.
Isaiah - General Manager
Hi, my name is Isaiah and I am the general manager of KCA. I work with everything from handling technology to scheduling and ordering. I am currently enrolled at Indiana University Southeast pursuing a Business Management degree. I’ve been employed at KCA for over 3 years but have been involved for many years.
KCA Advisory Board
Kids Care Academy is an active participant in Indiana’s Child Care Quality Rating and Improvement System, Paths to QUALITY.
Because we are enrolled in this program and its sole purpose is to help us provide quality child care, we created a Kids Care Academy Advisory Board.
The Advisory Board at Kids Care Academy was formed in March 2012 to help the owner respond to the needs of the children and families who are enrolled at KCA. The purposes of the Board are to provide input and support to the owner, to assist in the strategic planning for the center, and to ensure the provision of quality care.
Our board consists of community members, KCA families, and KCA staff; all of our members have something special to contribute to our center. We believe the contributions of the Advisory Board give us a distinct advantage in terms of quality, forward-thinking, and the development of Kids Care Academy for your children.
